An Unexpected Family wins Cinematography Award!!

I’m happy to announce that “An Unexpected Family:story from a slum” has won it’s first award! It’s a Bronze award from the Australian Cinematography Society in the Documentary category. Australia has some of the best cinematographers in the world and we were competing in a very competitive section. If you check out some of the names that won awards (Andrew Lesnie, Dion Beebe, Denson Baker…the list goes on) it is quite an achievement. Congratulations to Diego Pascoalino, our DOP, on his third award from the ACS! Hopefully it’s the start of many more awards for the film!!

  1. Hello my three Mosqueteers: CONGRATULATIONS!!!Very impressive indeed, and we are all dying to see the finished product. Duncan is so excited, he can hardly talk and so is Lucy! I am very happy for you, as I know and witnessed how much hard work and heart you all put into this endeavour. Well deserved! and I hope this wonderful win leads to many more. I am also happy for HHFL, as this type of positive exposure can only help. Thanks a million for taking the time, but especially the chance to film the plight of our children.

We love you all and miss you lots. Big hug, Mama Hanne
